HINTON – The Summers County Council on Aging held a car show in Hinton.
Executive Director Cindy Garrett and others from the Council on Aging prepared hot dogs and barbecue for visitors to enjoy while viewing antique cars.
There were a variety of cars set up in the parking lot of Rose’s and First Community Bank.
Eddie Fernatt oversaw the car portion of the show.
According to Garrett and Fernatt, all proceeds from this event went directly to the Summers County Council on Aging.
“[This money] will help with our nutrition program, help finish paying for the improvements that we are doing in our kitchen and any other place that we are needing the funding,” Garrett told me.
“We are simply doing our part for the community and trying to give back. There are so many people out here who need meals and everything that their organization provides,” Fernatt added.
Trophies were presented for the best antique motorcycle, car, tractor, and truck.
Fernatt entered his antique truck, a 1953 Chevrolet. There was even an antique fire truck on display at the car show.
